In Fano, Adriatic side of the Via Flaminia, the consular road which in Roman times linked Rome to Rimini, has been inaugurated last 7 December the Via Flaminia Museum. The Museum is located in the spaces of the former St. Michael’s Church, built right next to the Augustus Arch, old entrance to the city.
The virtual museum, which makes use of original audiovisual digital content,is a census of the Roman archaeological heritage along the Via Flaminia, a clear sign of a community that has been part of the history and of the process of development. During the Christmas holidays, from 8 December 2016 to 8 January 2017 the museum will be open every day (closed on December 25 and January 1).
